“First You Need Pajamas” by David Smith is an absolute gem of a children’s book! From the very first page, it captures that magical feeling of winding down after a long day. The story beautifully weaves humor, imagination, and tenderness into a bedtime routine that both children and parents can relate to.
The writing is simple yet lyrical, making it easy for little ones to follow along while still keeping adults smiling with its clever touches. The illustrations are vibrant and full of warmth, each page feels like a cozy hug before lights out.

Such an adorable story! I love that they included a child in a wheelchair; you don’t often see children’s books that include children with disabilities. My nephews enjoyed it too!
